建筑设计专业是皇家墨尔本理工大学RMIT目前最王牌的设计专业。RMIT坐落于墨尔本市中央，并没有一个固定的校园，市中央的每个角落都有RMIT的传授教化楼，并且风格迥异，险些每一栋传授教化楼都是建筑系学生值得研究的例子。就像RMIT的建筑系一样，培养着不同学生自我的设计理念和设计风格。
“先锋”是RMIT建筑学院的理念，RMIT建筑学院不仅仅看重提升学生建筑设计根本能力，更看重让学生节制最为前辈的建筑思想。RMIT每年都会请来欧美的大师来一起带领studio，例如林纯洁（CJ Lim），Francois Roche。学生不仅能在传授教化中得到互换的机会，更能学习到不同的设计文化理念。
